Ursus arctos horribilis
Nota de aplicación
Members of a subspecies of brown bear native to the mountainous districts of western North America, characterized by their massive size, humped shoulders, elevated forehead that contributes to a somewhat concave profile, and fur that is brownish to buff in color with hairs that are typically silver- or pale-tipped, giving them the grizzled (hair sprinkled with gray) appearance for which they are named.
