Fingerwoven sashes worn by Métis and First Nations individuals. Also known as assumption sashes due to their production in L'Assomption, Québec in the 19th century. Patterning varies, but often features an arrowhead design using red, green, yellow, blue, and white colored yarns. Currently, the sash has become a symbol of Métis identity.
