Defines type of pottery popularized by Nampeyo (ca. 1860-1942) and other female Hopi-Tewa and Hopi potters in the late 19th century to early 20th century. Utilizes the same techniques and visual program as historical Sikyatki pottery from the 14th to 16th centuries: a golden-hued patina due to high temperature firing and black and red curvilinear designs often featuring birds and dragonflies.
