Nota de aplicación
A game played on a court, typically indoor over a net with rackets and a shuttlecock. It is a combination of the children's game of battledore and shuttlecock. It is believed that the modern game was developed by British army officers in India, and was so name after a version of the game was played at Badminton House in 1873 by officers on leave, although there is no evidence of this. Versions of the game, however, were popular among the British in India by 1873.
