Style and culture of the Bahmani sultanate, a Muslim state (1347-1518) in the Deccan in India. The sultanate was founded in 1347 by 'Ala' al-Din Bahman Shah, who was supported by other military leaders in rebellion against the sultan of Delhi, Muhammad ibn Tughluq.
