Small deep sea worm-like mollusks lacking calcareous plates on the body but having fine slimy spicules on the covering mantle and known as narrow-footed gliders. In some classifications, this division, along with "Caudofauveata" is called a class instead of a subclass; here the two are combined under class "Aplacophora."
