Species of horse chestnut common in the Himalayan lowlands., between Kashmir and Western Nepal at elevations between 900 and 3,000 meters. It was introduced to the British Isles and is popular there in many parks and estates; having slender, pointed leaflets, has attractive feathery flower spikes with a bottlebrush effect.
