Nota de aplicación
Species of medium-sized subtropical citrus tree grown throughout the Mediterranean region, having a juicy fruit with a rind that is orange in color (reddish-yellow), with a taste that is sour compared to the sweet orange (C. sinensis). Many varieties are utilized for their essential oil, in perfume, as flavoring, herbal medicine, and appetite suppressant. Slivers of the rind are used to give marmalade its characteristic bitter taste. The hard white or light yellow wood is used in woodworking and for baseball bats in Cuba.
