Nota de aplicación

Term used by the Association for Preservation Technology (APT) which promulgates structural engineering as a component of architectural conservation in the United States. Buildings preservation initially developed in this country without including engineers since older buildings tended to be relatively small and engineers were engaged in constructing large new structures. The aging of those large structures, along with public interest in preserving relatively recent architecture, recommends the development and implementation of preservation engineering.
