Disc-shaped objects made from papyrus, stuccoed linen, bronze, gold, wood, clay or resin, placed by ancient Egyptians under the heads of the dead. The disc, which was inscribed with images, symbolized the eye of Ra or Horus, and was related to the idea of resurrection.
