A very thin, matte tissue made using traditional Japanese techniques and composed of kozo and mitsumata fibers. Originally developed by Franklin Mowery in the 1980s, the material is now produced in Berlin by the manufacturer Gangolf Ulbricht. It is used primarily as a material for the restoration or conservation of paper objects.
