Nota de aplicación

A type of wood ceiling primarily found in Islamic, Spanish, or Moorish architecture. The structure is a series of girders with perpendicular beams, which are often carved, painted, or otherwise stylized. This type of ceiling, with variations, appears in Spanish colonial sites in the Americas as well as in Europe and North Africa.
