Definición
Refers to alloys that contain intermediate grain boundaries between fine-grained material and coarse-grain material. Grain boundaries restrict slip transmission to neighboring grains. A medium-grain material has a higher tensile strength and is harder than a coarse-grained material, and offers a practical balance between hardness and toughness.
