Nota de aplicación
Refers to the art and architecture of the Islamic dynasty of the same name that ruled Iraq and Azerbaijan from 1336 to 1432. The architect of the early Jalayirids continued in the manner of earlier local styles with an emphasis on geometric brickwork, stucco decoration, and fine inscriptions. The major building of this period is the funerary complex built from 1356-1359 built by Mirjan , the amir who governed the city. Manuscript illustration also flourished during this period, particularly under the patronage of Ahmad (reigned 1382-1410). These works saw a fusion of Chinese and Near Eastern pictorial elements along with a new formula for depicting space.
