Nota de aplicación
Genus containing one or two species of grass native to the Mediterranean region. These species had traditionally been included in genus Stipa because of their similar elongated florets and persistent, long awns. It is now agreed that they differ from Stipa in other characteristics and in having a different chromosome base number.
