Nota de aplicación
Decorative discs that are baked into or otherwise affixed to baked goods; today typically limited to cakes for children, particularly in the southern Netherlands, but formerly also in Britain and elsewhere. Patakons were formerly ceramic, now may be edible. The tradition probably derived from an original practice of placing a coin in the baked item.
